It is hoped they \u2013 and perhaps grown-ups, too \u2013 will develop a passion for preservation at a young age, and be encouraged to join the thousands of volunteers who spend their spare time lovingly restoring engines and railway infrastructure for us all to enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>Isabel is a real engine, and this is the delightful story about her and her life. As any Engine Driver or Fireman will tell you, Steam Engines come to life when they have a fire lit in them, and they all have their own personalities!<\/p>\n<p>Robert \u2013 Bob to his friends \u2013 is a volunteer on the Epping Ongar Railway, and \u201cIsabel Finds A Home\u201d is a narrative of her journey to the EOR. It has been brought to life by Alan Ward\u2019s wonderful water colours.
